Chicago Open Air posts on its social media accounts and website that it will be taking a hiatus this year.

Many fans and festival-goers are left disappointed, as many of them have been waiting for a “big announcement” after Chicago Open Air posted this status:

We miss all 75,000 of you… can't wait to announce next years experience at America's Biggest Metal Experience!

But hey, we can be excited for 2019!
